First of all, you may notice the new avatars. They’re cute and chibi, and I think they’re an improvement from the avatars we used from the very first strip. If you remember correctly, we were all dressed up then, and they didn’t really reflect our characters’ personalities too well. I hope you guys like them. If you do, here are bigger, more detailed versions you can use to spam on our behalf:

Cute, eh? Anyhoo…secondly, I added the function to be able to send us messages through our member details pages. (Remember, nice messages to me, and poopie messages to Arlo. ^.^) It should be beneficial to all you folks who wouldn’t otherwise communicate with us because you’re too lazy to pop up your hotmail. =P I apologize for the verification process, but it’s the only way I can think of to beguile bots from spamming us. Now, message away about how awesome you think we are!

Thirdly, we received some fanart from Mangawings from over at the forums, and we’d just like to share how happy this makes us. Incidentally, Arlo and I have been trying to come up with a recognizable “gang sign” to help us look cool in pictures, but it’s kind of hard to bust out “99″ on the fly with your hands…assuming you have joints, anyway. Mangawings has portrayed this perfectly, however, capturing the pose on the rare occasion that we get it right.

Hurray for fanart! =D Not only does Mangawings provide with the awesomeness in the form of lovely drawrings, but she’s also responsible for diverting my attention to making more virtual dolls. This is, of course, not the first time this has happened, but thankfully, the options were not as vast this time, so it didn’t take the better part of yesterdays work shift to make. =P I can only make one of these at a time, so for now, I present to you an Arloless Race, playing a portable in, redundantly enough, an arcade.

This is after I just whooped Arlo at “Dance Machine.”

In other news, I’d just like to announce that it’s official: I’m jumping out of a plane on the 22nd of this month. Why? No good reason at all, really. My excuse is that it’s my birthday and I want to celebrate. =P I’ve tried convincing Arlo to go with me, but he seems to be too attached to solid ground to want to volunteer. Anyway, I think I better get to drawing the strip early, or make a filler strip, because albeit I’m more excited than scared now, I’m sure I’ll be too busy shitting my pants come Thursday or Friday prior…besides, Thursday is when the official candle-blowing goes down, so assuming that I have a life (hey, don’t laugh!), I’ll probably be too busy to work on the comic then. Just thought I’d let you guys know. =P

Guy-With-More-Posts-Than-the-Admins, has sent us some fanart! Mind you, these are the first pieces of fanart we’ve ever received, and sure enough, we jizzed our pants with excitement. First of all, let’s just get this out of the way while I’m still in a good mood.

Remember Miss Video Game? Well, voting started a few days ago so I’m totally late! Vote for me and all that. Help me get Level 99 some publicity! Well, and in addition to that $1000, and a mysterious “gaming system.” PLEASE LET IT BE A JAGUAR 64! XD

*AHEM* Anyhoo….hey dudes! Our birthday strip is finally up! Sorry about the delay, but there’s been a great deal of busyness going on with both me and Arlo. It doesn’t help that Illustrator pooped on Arlo. I lettered the strip this time, and if there’s anything I hate, it’s lettering. So if you don’t like it, you can just whine about like some kind of girly man. With all this stuff, I have not gotten to properly greet us Happy Birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEVEL 99! WHOOOOOO!

As we speak, Arlo is in stinky Norcal (Northern California), doing some hippie shenanigans I bet. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to get out a comic over the weekend, but I’ll try to come up with something. Meanwhile, what’s been going on with me? Well, I think I may be addicted. To what, you ask? Cigarrettes? Heroine? Is it the dreaded “Chronic?” No…something much worse.

A few days ago, I started Viva Piñata, and I can’t freaking stop. It’s probably one of the most boring games in the world, and yet I can’t seem to help myself. It’s those damn pinatas, with their non-threatening qualities and delicious candy. WHY? Why must they tempt me?! Every time I realize that I have to put it down so I can get some freaking sleep, that stupid girl in me goes, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I MUST MAKE MY GARDEN BEAUTIMOUSLY CUTIEFUL!!!” Bah. In all seriousness, though, it’s a really good game. 

Anyway, back to our birthday. We received some fanart in celebration of Level 99 passing through the vagina of the Webcomic Mother. To think that just a little over a year ago, we were just a little webcomic fetus. Teehee.
