Welp, it took me a while, but it had to happen. It’s probably no surprise to those who know how much I loved Oblivion, that I’m kind of obsessed with Fallout 3; so much so, in fact, that I took the time to make this little video. Maybe you Fallout fans might appreciate it.

I just now realized that I seem like I’m totally high in this video. I’m all slurrin’ and my hair is disheveled and crap. Well, I’m not, I swear. It’s just that people who saw my last video suggested I should be more natural, to go with the flow and be myself. Well, this is what happens when I don’t have a script–I just seem like I’m on the wacky tobaccy. Plus, I totally don’t know how to do my own hair. Good job, me.

Holy CRAP! I thought we were just talking about Pac-Man! Where did this come from!? Ok, we’ve just written ourselves into a corner. Even I’m curious to see how we get ourselves out of this. I promise we won’t go the clone route. It’s toooooooo…. death of Palpatine. Well, it’s good to know that, if neccessary, Guy could replace me. I mean, look at him. That’s uncanny.

News in the gaming industry? Well, I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Sony is now more actively pursuing the “copy protection” method of denying the playability of used, rented, or borrowed games. It’s an old story now, but you and I haven’t discussed it. Talk about shooting themselves in the foot. I think you can all agree with me that they won’t do this (at least not this generation). I mean, the system already cost 600 dollars without games or accessories, and now you can’t trade in your games to get some sort of return on them? Yeah, sure, the purchase of Sony’s used games will go down, but that also means trades will go down, which decreases the ability of the buyer to afford this increasingly expensive hobby, and consequently decreases sales of NEW games, too. Don’t believe me? The video game business is booming, hand in hand with the trade-in business. I italicized Sony there to illustrate a point: this tactic only makes the Sony product less desirable. I’m already apt to buy a 360 and a Wii instead of a PS3, but now you’re saying I can’t buy the games used, or rent them, or even just borrow a game from my buddy at work? Fine, then. Now, I’m definitely not going to get a PS3. See how that works? But don’t worry. This is just a patent. And an old one. For all we know they are just trying to prevent other manufacturers from implementing this without their say so. There is no way they are going to go through with this.

The truth of the matter is an increase in the desirability of your product equals an increase in the attempted piracy of said product. These two items are locked in a marriage that trancends time and space, forever to be held true, recorded in stone in the annals of economics and industry. Flip that around. Efforts to decrease piracy, while at the same time being completely futile, can only decrease the desirabilty of the product. I’ll tell you this: already I don’t really want to pirate any PS3 games.

Yeah, so my life outlook doesn’t seem very bright. I need new friends. Looks like The Troll gets some revenge. He’s been itching ever since the wand in the eye. I have some people over the other day to play video games and just generally hang out, and The Troll is playing Hitman. His favorite thing to do in this game is push people around. So he’s pushing and pushing and the guards have no varying degrees of aggression so they start unloading on him. Meanwhile, he’s pushing this guy from behind and the guy is making grunting noises and bending over (and it all seems very inappropriate) and the guards end up taking 47 down. The Troll says, “See, it’s funny because he wasn’t the only one getting shot in the ass.”

So Race was brave and decided not to put this strip off until Friday and instead just charge ahead. So you are getting three updates in one week. Lucky you had me around for that first one.

Truth be told, The Troll doesn’t really RP. He’s created a character or two, but mostly just goofed off and distracted us. Those elf ears are distracting me right now. Lou loves to get his role-play on, and sometimes you might just have the desire to hit him with a lead pipe, so his representation is right on.

Oh, my geez, the new site is so close. Hopefully it’ll be up for Friday’s update. Meanwhile, I’m going to bed. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So we’re killing people and that’s good. Troll said this is what the arc needed. I didn’t tell him we had his presence planned like a month ago.

I was out for a few days in Sonora with family and had some fun. Shout out to Kevin and Kyle who got the url Sunday morning. Now do you understand why I told you not to show your parents? Tell your friends.

Anyway, the point of that Sonora reference is that on the ride up and back, I was in a massive truck with my cousin, her dad, and her boyfriend. We were listening to Sirius Satellite Radio. Now, I have this problem… I have a severe case of Stickupmyassaholism. Please dont tease me. It’s a disease and should be pitied. I have this thing where I decide I want something with no research and no “Sleeping On It” and I must have it today. I did that with DVR and was rewarded. I did that with the PSP about a month or two ago and haven’t touched it in maybe two weeks. I’ve become increasing disengaged from FM radio and have relagated myself to the solitude of my iPod and Mix”Tape” CDs. Three comedy channels are good. Plus, I’m wicked excited about the prospect of getting old and having a 90s oldies station; I won’t have to wait as Sirius has fully two 90’s channels, one of which is dedicated to rock. Holy Jeez. So I’ve decided on Sirius over XM, obviously, but what I want to know is if you have any recommendations as to the reciever based on quality and price or if I’m even headed down the right path at all. I’m looking at this. Not too expensive and it’s versatile. I don’t want to have to buy a whole new cd player, either. ::sigh:: This stick up my ass isn’t getting any more comfortable (no gay jokes, please) and I might just have to deal with it… ya know, by pulling it out.

Plus, I got a tape from my Grandma Mom that we recorded when I was twelve. I do some reading on it and some really bad impressions of a generic six-year-old and a grandmother, too. Man, I was set up to be an English major from an early age. That, and I’m so fucking adorable. WAS. WAS so fucking adorable. Yeah… that’s it…

Maybe I should explain the new comic. Recently, I got my hands on beta keys for both the new D&D MMO and RF Online. BOTH beta projects required you to register through third party organizations like fileplanet in order to register AGAIN at their own site just to be told that you couldn’t even download the program. Apparently, promising beta keys just means they’ll give you a cardboard box or dvd case with an algorithm-generated string of letters and numbers for you to stare at until the actual game comes out. Maybe if you concentrate really hard on the numbers and focus your eyes on an object behind them you can see the hidden picture of the boxing kangaroo. Well, a guy can hope for maybe something fun in return for a reservation. (Before you say anything, yes, I know about stress tests.)

Huh? What’s this? A new comic?  But it’s the middle of Friday night! Saturday morning, even!

Here’s the deal. We’re going to try a little something. And if you behave — and that means no breaking anything — this might be a more permanent thing.

Race and I were eating… um…. tofu and beef (herm….) when we realized that our ideas were running ahead of us. So we’re making the jump, pretty early on, to the twice-a-week update system. Will this last? Hopefully. We even have some filler material in case we can’t get one out on time. I’m actually hoping that happens, ‘cuz I’m excited about it. But. you’re gonna have to wait until we fuck up.

What else does this mean? You get yet ANOTHER comic on MONDAY! Come on everybody, let’s run Race into the ground! I picture it this way: I’m the dancing monkey, and she’s the tiny gnome in the box playing all of the music live. Did that make sense? Too bad, it’s late. So come on in on Mondays and Fridays from now into the forseeable future (once you can’t see the future anymore… we might stop).

I was in the car with some friends of mine, including Lou, the Slice Boy, when I asked the same question Race does in the strip. Without skipping a beat, Jesse in the front seat came out with the punchline. I said, “Exactly! His speech alone is reason enough to believe in him and you can leave the visuals up to the makeup department!” I didn’t get that it was a joke until Lou began striking Jess across the head and neck with a rolled-up magazine. No. Bad.
